Looking at installing HotFoot on Stratos 274DC w/ 150 Johnson. Past owner had one on it but took it off. He left the longer cables on it and it's looped in splash well. There's at least two feet of extra cable.

My question, how hard is it to remove the cable connection inside the control box. Any special hints or tricks? I haven't even opened it up, thought I would ask first.

Thanks

Here's what I did.
I left both cables connected in the control box and ran a third cable form the Hot Foot to the engine. That way you can switch from one to the other at the engine and don't have to get into the control. Takes maybe five minutes.

c/6

Hooty

Thanks Hooty, hadn't thought about doing it that way. Guess only difference would be cost of the cable. May be worth it if getting into control box is a headache. I'll check on a cable this weekend.

Coming down your way next week for business. See what you can do about getting somebody to turn the heat down a little before I get there!

No problem, tlove. Something in the low 100's be ok? Actuslly, day temps have been in the mid-upper 90's but nights are still cooling down into the 70's. Pleasant.

c/6

Hooty
