I use hotmail to receive and send emails. So here is my problem, lately when I use it and after reading my mail I move to another site without logging out. I have to log out and in again to read any new mail. Any ideas on what might be causing this ??

Most likely it's on the hotmail end. A lot of sites now are imposing very short timeouts, as well as auto logout when you navigate away from the site. I run the email system for my company, and on our webmail, as soon as you go to another site in the same browser window, you are immediately logged out.

Could be a bad cookie that isn't updating, Try to clear your browsers cache and try again.
