My buddy has a Suzuki 115 and has a hour meter built in his Tach.I bought a 2003 Johnson 140 4 stroke and I figured I would have this option.Maybe Johnson is trying to save some money.Any body have a 2003 140 Suz?Do you have the hour meter in the Tach?

Re: Hour meter in Tach

All 4-stroke EFI Suzuki's (40hp-140hp) have an hourmeter built in to the computer which is shown by the tach needle on start up. I'm fairly certain that the Johnson has it as well as the computer is surely the same but the tach may not be wired. If you installed a Suzuki tach with the warning lights and hourmeter built in you would have the same thing. As has been said, it would be cheaper to just install an hourmeter as the Suzuki tach is approx. $175. There are alot of reasons the Johnson is a little cheaper in general.
