hour meter ?

i have a 1998 mercury 225 efi was wondering if there is a hour meter if so where is it located

you,ve usually got to put them in aftermarket, Has it got a digital tach? It would be a function on the tachometer if it's been installed, the ones I've seen display it when you turn the ignition off. if you install smartcraft it'll have one or you can get a tiny tach.

Many computer controlled engines (EFI/DFI) have a capability in the ECM that records engine hours but it is not displayed unless the appropriate gauge package specific to that engine series is installed. Otherwise, an inexpensive hour meter can be installed. They simply connect to +12 and ground and are active as long as the ignition key is on (whether or not the engine is actually running).
