LOL the ice is over 24" thick! Drove north today towards Canada and there were some pretty large communities set up.

The biggest drawback is Champ the Lake Champlain Monster but I guess with full disclosure I had to mention that

Is that a WHITE one in the very middle of the pic??????

That would be ILLEGAL here i Minnesota.

The law in Minnesota states "Any color but WHITE" for safety reasons.

That is a very relaxing scene though.

Do you remember what 20F feels like? its been a few weeks

LOL, last time I ice fished, I had to cut through 18" of frozen slush BEFORE I got to the ice.

I wish I had an auger extension.......that would make things more convienient.


Personally I will pass on the property Bob, I am a bucket and a tip-up kind of guy. Never used a shanty.....

No issue really. Champ winters as Ogopogo in the Okanagan. There are huge underground tunnels connecting these two lakes and Loch Ness (he doesn't go there anymore as too many people are pinging with sonar and it gives hime a headache).
