I went out in my boat Sunday for a couple of hours and nothing went wrong! The boat ran great, it was 88* out. Lotsa nice 2 piece bathing suits being advertised. No Capt Bonehead moves by others. It was just a GREAT day. I just thought that since most people are here cause they have a problem, I'd throw some smiles in. Have a great week people.

Glad you had a great time. I have not been able to get our boat out now for going on 3 weeks with work and small craft advisory's! The worse part is, this past weekend (all weekend) while helping a buddy with a roof in the 90 degree heat (who lived next to the lake), I could hear all the boats and jetski's having fun and could see the lake was smooth as glass! I want/need a great weekend boating too .

Yep!, that's what we love about being out in the boat, way down the river somewhere away from the bad news, taxes, drugs, crime, traffic, smog, phones ringing, etc., etc. Hate to say it, but it's about the only real peace and quiet we can find! Toss in a fishing rod and maybe a couple of cold beers, and you're home free, at least for a while!....

I moved this to General Boat Topics as the OB guys need to hear some good news too. It does sound like a great day, thanks for the post!

It came to me while I was in the repair section trying to help others out while I realized that my toy has been going good since the second coil incident at the beginning of the season. It has an outdrive, so I threw it in there. Besides, I'm pretty green on outboards. Ex Chevy auto tech.

And down here in Sunny Florida we enjoyed a great afternoon out Saturday on the Harris Chain chasing ospreys and enjoying lunch out on the water. Overcaste skies with a nice 10 mph breeze sealed the deal for the last weekend of August. Abosultely perfect boating weather!!!
