How are force motors

Force isn't as bad as people say, the problem is they don't make parts for them anymore so if it breaks you may not be able to fix it.

I think I would keep looking.

That's probably a fair price. But I wouldn't buy it due to the issues mentioned above.

It is a little high for a 1995 Force 40. However, that year has many mercury parts with the exception of the engine block itself so if you really like it and if it demonstrates that it runs well, go for it.
