how can I adjust the idle on my 75 rude from 83??<br /><br />What rpm have the idle on this motor??<br /><br />i know that it is to high no because is sound hard when i but into gear!

Hej Fletcher<br /><br />It should iddle around 700 when moving forward in gear, and 900-1000 when in free. I think you should start by performing a sync´n linck procedure first, having read your previous post, as instable iddle often is caused by wrong timing between throttle and ignition timing. You will need a manual for that.

Those motors will make a clunk when they go into gear, do not put it in gear slowly that will grind the teeth down, just put it in like you mean it your lower unit will last a lot longer, i would set the idle just high enough to keep it running in gear and grab the beer and go have fun with it. :D
