How can I tell?

How can I tell if my motor is a commercial motor? It's a 1986 Johnson 150 hp. I don't have the model number here with me. Is there another digit or number in the model number that signifies commercial?

There are no 1986 commercial 150hp motors on the list. But there are 155hps. Need the whole model number. Or look it up yourself. http://www.skoterskroten.com/img/arsmodellstabell.pdf

FR nailed it. The commercial engines were sold with a different hp rating, though they probably were the same...The 155 is a commercial and has a W in the model, probably signifying a "workboat" application. Same for the 55 and the 100. Most workboat engines are not very suitable for recreational boating-they have larger/different lower units with different gear reductions for more power.
