I have a 1963 Lon 14ft fiberglass boat. The plate with the capacity has been worn clean off. I have done some searches and came up with nothing. It has a 15" transom.

There is a formula, based upon length and beam, that the CG uses. It is probably safe to say that max HP on that boat is no more than 35 or 40 HP.

Sounds about right, they didin't have the monster engines back then like they do now, a 115 was a monster back then.

Be certain that your transom is in good shape if you are going to go with the max capacity, it was rated for that back in '63 and alot can change in that time, I am a '63 model myself and am nowhere near what I was then.
