i supose you can remove it, clean it and the hole, and use a little 2 part epoxy to seal it back in.
There is probably some one with a different (better) idea that will chime in also. but you can try that.

Does it use the rubber plug or the brass screw in type?

The rubber plugs use a brass tube that is flared on the ends.
The screw in type ( garboard drain ) is held in place by screws.

Either way pull it apart, make sure its dry inside the transom.
If its the brass tube for the rubber plug you can buy a bew one and use 3M 5200 to seal it in place.

I Have A Rubber Plug. When I Turn It It Gets Tight But The Metal Insert That The Rubber Plug Goes Into Turns, The Insert Is Loose How Do I Tighten It Or Take It Out To Put A New One In? I Haven`t Been Able To Figure Out How To Get It Out Without Screwing Everything Up. Thanks.

Uhh aren't you using the brass screw in?? A square ended brass threaded screw to plug your water drain?? I also have the Garboard and there is nothing rubber. You don't use a rubber plug in for the garboard plug:rolleyes:
Hope this helps.

To get it out you'll have to beat it into submission, a hammer and screwdriver did the trick for mine. There's no saving the old drain tube, just beat the crap out of it. After it's out make sure that the exposed wood is bone dry before going any further, then soak as much epoxy into the wood as it will abosorb and let it cure.

After that you can install the new drain tube with 3M 5200. The un-flared end can be tapped down into a flare with whatever beating tool you have handy. Alternatively, you can epoxy the drain tube in, flare the one end, then seal both sides with 5200.

Before you go for the big hammer, have you got a dremmel? All you really have to do is remove the outer lip where it's rolled, you could even file it away by hand with a round file and being it's already loose she'l push right out, if you use the brute force method you could damage the surrounding area.
