How do I hook up my tach? :-/

I just bought this tach.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWN:IT&viewitem=&item=280075689583&rd=1,1 ... for my 1971 Johnson 85hp motor. Where do I connect the alternator input wire from the tach? Is there any particular screw on the terminal that I should connect to or is there a connection in the throttle control box?

Gray wire to # 4 on terminal block which is crossed to # 3.

Black wire is grounded to the engine block.

Gray wire to S on the tach. Black wire to G on the tach.

Set the pulse dial on the tach according to the last column on page 6.
