hey i have a 60hp johnson on a 16' cajun demon, and i have been using a transom saver i bought at the walmart, my question is, how do stop the transom saver from rubbing the paint off the lower unit?

here is a pic of the back of the boat, just so you can see.
ill take a pic of the paint spot if someone thinks it will help.

I use a strip of padding, like carpet. Helps.

By the by.....might want to get that dinged prop blade repaired......d:)

I have to agree with OBJ get that prop fixed.A prop shop can rebuild it at a pretty good price.
Running with that prop can damage bearings and seals in the gearcase. Not to mention messing up your performance.

You might want to shorten that transom saver too. That motor looks a lot higher than it probably needs to be.

Being that high it presents an angle where the lower unit can slip and rub up and down on the rubber part of the saver. If you can shorten the transom saver and lower the motor you will present a better angle that will make the lower unit of the motor fit the 'Y' of the saver better and not slip as much.
