Where in the electrical system do I measure if the generatorn/alternatorn is producing any electricity?
Do I measure the current before and after the engine has started?
What values should be reached, should more than 13 volt be produced?

Measure volts at the battery. Voltage should rise with RPMs from battery voltage to just under 15 at full throttle. You don't have to measure at full throttle, just see if RPMs rise between idle and 2000 or so. If you have a tachometer and you're getting readings from it, your charging system is working.
