I need to do a little work on the throttle & the side interior padding/trim that the throttle go's through & is attached to needs to come off. There were 2 screws in the front of the piece. The top of the padded side trim seems to be attached along the top all the way back but I don't see any screws. Any help?

Interior trim on what?

1982 Ebko Lebaron open bow (fiberglass)

1965 Starcraft Jet closed bow (aluminum)

Not unlike cars, not all boats are put together the same...

Pix of what your working could help too......

If the upholstery is pleated, pull the flap back and look under it. Great place for hiding screw heads. Sometimes they will pull through the material, so look for a hole in the material.

Sorry, I forgot to mention... it's an '85 Bayliner bowrider, 17' with an O/B motor. No need to get *****ty about it, I just forgot to ID the boat. I'll check behind the plete's & buttons but I did not see anything the first time. The top is pretty solid mounted to the cap, the lower art just rests against the inside of the gunell

No worries, I ended up finding them. They were buried deep under the pleats, ended up stripping the head off one of them due to stupidity on my part. While reversing the first screw out the bit became loose in the chuck & after tightening it back up I forgot to switch it back to reverse & stripped the head out. Oh well. Thanks for the assistance

be careful when removing the throttle control, mine is an '87 and to my knowledge was never removed since installed. The wires for the neutral safety switch were so stuck on there I ended up destroying the switch getting it off, and that little piece of junk cost me $50 to replace!
