How do I remove the skeg shaped round plate over the prop

I need to remove the lower unit for an impeller replacement. I can see the bolts that need removal but how do I remove the circular skeg shaped plate that is above the prop. My engine is a `03 200 Saltwater 2 cycle.

I think you are talking about the zinc ( it looks like a skeg ) there should be a plug or button just above it and a nut, pop off the button and get a deep well socket for that size nut
