How do I test a Switch Box

Is there a way for the home mechanic to check out a switch box on a mercury 70 hp????

I rec: that that you mark your wiring and make a drawing of their location. Take it to your marine dealer for their tech guys to check it for you. also you may want to chek the service manual for your engine if you have one. If not you can get one here. They come in handy for the D.I.Y.
