Undo the rod bolt? Its like a star nut. I have no idea what to use to get these off?
My engine is a 25hp evinrude 1998.

That would be a 12 point socket.

Okay i have 3 of 4 of but the last one is completely rounded off. There is no way to undo it.Any ideas?

Ain't that the dumps! Its said the more contact a socket has the less chance of stripping a bolt.They could made all of them hex or octi,but where would new tool sales go if they were all standard.Someone has to make some $$

Depending how bad it is, you might try a hand held impact driver to get it off with a good socket of the proper size.

You can buy special sockets for rounded
Heads or drive on a smaller socket with
A hammer.

A nut splitter or Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel. DO NOT RE-USE THE ROD BOLT.

Snap-on and other tool manfactures make what they call Turbo sockets for probs like this. You may want to check into them.
