Was digging through my garage and ran accross 3 prop laying around. How can I find out what they fit and what the pitch is on them? 2 are black and the other is white.

Re: How do identify what a prop will fit?

Give us some numbers and I'm sure somebody has the info. It would be best to post under the brands that the props are for. This is purely conjecture, but the black ones could be for Mercs and the white one could be for a Johnnyrude. If there are no numbers anywhere on them, then it's tough. Pictures might at least get you in the ballpark if somebody recognizes it if you can post some.

Also, counting the splines might narrow it down a bit.

OK, here are some numbers. On one black prop it says B6384 in by the splines and on the blade is 131/2 19. On the other black prop it says X7040. And on the white prop it has B6385 and X5060. Hope this helps. I'll count the splines tomorrow night.

Check the yellow pages in your area for a propeller shop.
