Going to sound funny but post your new title and a link to the original thread. A mod can change it unless that moderator happens to be on his iPhone where it is painful to post. Oh thats me!

You should be able to change the title yourself, assuming the post isn't too old. I think there is a time limit on the editing.

To edit, click on the Edit Post button below and to the right of your signature.

When the edit screen comes up, click on Go Advanced at the lower right of the text box.

When that screen comes up, there should be a section that says title. Type in what you want and be sure to click on save changes.

One note, it's not a good idea to keep changing the title. If there are people following the thread and you change the title, they can no longer find it. Another problem is if you change what the post is about, many people only read the first post and then answer, if you changed subjects 100 posts in, others may not see the change. It just gets confusing.
Best thing to do is start a new thread with each different subject.
If you are doing a complete boat rebuild project in the Resto forum, that's a different story.

Another thing about changing the title by editing. It only changed the title for post #1; all replies still have the original title. Confusing if you make a big change.
