How do u convert Volvo DP to Mercruiser drive?

I have a 27' Chaparrel and I have just bought a new 8.1 Volvo to put in but now I want to put a bravo 3 behind it.
Does any one know for sure if there is an adapter plate that will accommodate this converion without filling and reshaping hole in transom?
the part # 827691a1 volvo/merc is not the correct part when removing a DP drive as i was told by a so called marine expert! Thanks. captainmanno.

Why would you want to put a Merc in place of the Volvo DP. The Volvo is a much better drive. Besides, there is no "Adapater Plate" for a conversion like that, the transom cutout is the same if you have the SX style Volvo DP now, but you would need to replace everything from the flywheel on back, including the flywheel cover and exhaust system, shift cable system and all to change to a Bravo.

ill take one DPS or DP-E over 3 merc units.

if it ain't broke don't fix it. Stick with the volvo drive.
