I have a 280PT outdrive that I just replaced a hose on that feeds one of the hydraulic trim cylinders. How do I fill and bleed the system? I haven't been able to spot reservoir yet either.

Not knowing what boat you have makes this difficult. I would look on or near the inside of the transom to find the hydraulic pump/ reservoir. Perhaps sound of the hydraulic motor could lead you to the assembly. Once you find it, check the level (often visible through the side of the reservoir).

I believe cycling the drive up and down a few times will purge any air from the lines and cylinders. Just keep the reservoir full.

Best of luck

erie guy is right on both accounts. Cycle the trim and make sure the fluid level stays full.

Good luck

I will take some pictures of the inside at the transom. It is a 1979 formula 233 interceptor with the chevy 350
If just going up and down a few times will work that would be amazing, once I find the reservoir tank

Not the same as the set ups I'm used to but looks like that box under that electric motor is your reservoir. It should have a screw in one corner of the top of the box... your fill hole. Pro'lly on the right where the indention is at the corner.
