How do you care for red paint (non clear coat)?

Hi,
I just bought a used aluminum boat (tracker). The top rail of the boat and some of the side was factory painted with red paint, non clear coat.

How do you care for a non-clear-coated paint? I was thinking of just using turtle wax on it - but I am not sure that is what to use for this type of paint. I have never dealt with a single stage paint before.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Joseph

PAINT IT GREY!! No seriously red fades quickly if not protected. A wax with a high carnuba content is mandatory here. Red is high maintenance. But it is one of the best colors imho
