I have a 1995 johnson 225 hp venom and I belive that I need to clean out the carb and adjust the carb. The motor dies when giving it gas, so I ask what is the best way to clean out the carb and adjust the mid and high on the carb.

No offense, just based on the question that you are asking it does not seem like you have a great deal of knowledge about your motor. If it was a 9.9, it is an easy task, but on a 225, the stakes are high if you mess up. Therefore I think it would be money well spent to have a shop do it for you. Or a mechanic who knows what they are doing show you.

Have a great day,

Rob.

First off, see if you can buy the real factory service manual, they're cheap on ebay right now, less than $15.

You have more than one carb, is it 6 or 8 cylinder?
either way theres a lot of them, do one at a time, do it by the book using rebuild kits and run small wire through the jets to make sure they are clear.
Work meticulously, on a clean white cloth so as not to lose tiny parts.
It took me 2-3 hrs to do 6 carbs first time.
