Like the title says really. Ive pulled the Alpha 1 Gen 2 drive off my boat to renew the bellows. Gimbal bearing, ujs are in perfect condition and the alignment is spot on.

Ive read a bit on here about greasing the universal joints on the drive shaft and the coupler but I cant find any grease nipples either on the ujs or for the coupler.

Alot of new ujoints are non-servicable and don't need greasing. If there is no zerk fitting, and no hole for a zerk to go into, then your all set.

Ah thanks. I suspected that might be the case.

How about the coupler?

The coupler at the back of my 3.0L has a zerk fitting on the side...you may have to turn the engine (bump the starter) to get yours in a convenient spot.

Happy boating!

If the coupler does not have a zerk, you simply grease the splines of the driveshaft when you install the drive.
