I have a gx239 glastron and I was wondering ho I can repair the faded gel coat. I have tried buffing it with several restoration type kits and compounds and each time 3 months later its faded again. Is is possible to wet sand it then buff it?

Yes. I would suggest a small inconspicuous spot with say 600 and then a 1000 then a run with the buffer and some compound then polish see how see fairs. carefull not to burn through though. I'm sure some of the guys will chime in to add on. Try the search function it will pop up all sorts of methods.

check out friscoboater's first glastron thread... (not the one he just started)... He has a method for bringing back the gel coat shine on these old glastrons...

Hope this helps.
