how do you unstick or fix a carb float problem

from what i've been reading about gas leaking from the carb. it appears i have a float problem, i have no owners manual or parts diagram, what can i do, it is a 1985 mercury 35hp twin cylinder. can someone e-mail me a parts diagram or instructions on how to clean/ fix/ or repair my carb. problem. thanks tim

Have you tried taping lightly on the body above float bowl<br /> with a screw driver handle or small (really small) hammer.Be careful not to hard.<br /> Try the library for a manual.<br />If you have done other carbs you shouldnt have<br />any problems with this one.<br /> You really need a manual even if you have to save your pennies and get one for next year.
