I hope this is in the correct forum.
How do you folks, if any, pull your 5th wheel trailer and put a 12' boat on top of the truck? I am looking for something so the boat can ride on top of the truck, cab forward obviously, and this item seems difficult to find. There has to be a way. I can fab something but... whatcha say.

Had a friend that did this once. He made a rack out of 1/2in square tubing. mounted it to the out side of his front bumper and to the top of his truck bed right behind the cab. This made like an open box over top of the cab of the truck. Then he just strapped his john boat to the top.

Wish I could find the post, there was a post a couple of months back that had a self loading rig that attached to the truck and would load and store the boat over the top of the truck.
