How hard would it be to take a flat bottom jon boat and put in a side/center console? Also how expensive would it be to put down a metal floor so that the support beams would be covered? I have an 18' Lowe that leaks like a siive and I don't know if it is repairable. Thanks.

Everything is repairable - just depends how much money you wish to spend. Before you address the flooring you should definately address the leaks. This product is pretty much bulletproof for that:"http://www.marinetex.com/PRODUCT%20PAGE_files/All%20Gluvit/gluvit%20prod%20in.htm"

If you just have loose rivets , and , no holes/stress cracks , etc.. , you can get solid rivet "chucks" that fit pnumatic impact hammers .
One of these setups , a thick piece of steel for the other side of the rivet , and a helper , will get your boat back to watertight in little time .

OR, you could use a ballpien hammer + helper and big steel block , and , half a day or more .
Either way , tighten those rivets before you put the goop on them , and you will probably keep your feet dry for the rest of your life.

It is definately possible to put in a "metal" floor ,although many use plywood .
If you use aluminum and stainless steel fasteners , it will last the life of the boat .
Won't rot/rust/warp , and , stronger/lighter than wood .
