How far can you tip Honda BF8A in a sailboat well?

I have a 25' sailboat (don't hold that against me) with a well at the stern for my Honda BF8A. The problem I have is that when tipped forward as far as the clicks will hold it, a small part of the leg, the prop and zinc are still in the water. Zincs are difficult to replace because they are not easily accessible.

Will it hurt anything if I tip The motor a little further forward and tie it down so the prop and zinc are out of the water? Does anyone have an idea about what else I can do?

I have the same motor and keep mine out of the water with no problem. The sailboat next to me, however, keeps his in the water at all times. He never tilts any part of the lower unit out of the water and his motor, believe it or not, starts better than mine.

Side question for you regarding starting. How does your motor react to your first pull when firing it up after a prolonged period of time?

Thanks in advance.

My motor always starts after the second pull as long as I pump up the fuel ball, pull out the choke and turn the throttle up all the way it will go. As soon as it starts I push in the choke. Before I found out about turning the throttle all the way up, it use to take about 6 or more puls.
