When rebuilding powerheads (for a budget rebuild!), I usually reuse pistons/rods if pretty clean, use all new bearings and new rings and new seals.
I have also been replacing the reed valves with new ones. However, I saw somewhere here that reeds rarely go bad. Although I would think with 8 zillion vibrations, it would seem smart to replace them too.
What the best choice to get a reasonable life rebuild?
Thanks.
