Well i just bought this boat and it came with a cover and also a tarp... so I hvae the cover and tarp on and its raining for a good 2 days here, and I realize that the cover and tarp are pretty much worthless, as their was a lot of water stored up in my boat (yikes!)

now im wondering if it i drop 300$ on a new semi custom cover from iboats.com will that keep the rain from getting inside my boat? (where no rain drips in and what not) since I will mainly keeping the boat stored in the elements, I don't want all of the stringers and what not to rot (if it hasnt already uh oh)

Well, any cover will pool up with water if you don't have support poles properly placed.

I agree with the above post. I usually use a blue cheap tarp and as long as it's set up correctly I get zero water in the boat. You need to set it up so puddles can't form and the rain just sheds off the sides..

One of these will be your best friend http://www.iboats.com/Attwood_Delux...06963459--**********.394118030--view_id.38580

I've been using a cheap cover ($40) from Wal-mart. It's about shot now but I got 3 seasons out of it. I park my boat under a lot of dirty trees. I'd rather go with the cheap covers and replace them from time to time then to get an expensive one and then be upset when it gets all nasty from the trees. Properly supported, the cheap covers are fine.
