Re: How happy are you with your boat?
Thanks Bondo,

Yes, so called 'open ended' questions are more fun. That way you can detail your answer and even use answers not opted in the answer list.

Unfortunately this kind of answers are not possible in the poll system. Only pre defined answers and only within certain limits.

I'd like to offer one or two open answer questions (ten open answers would be a pain in the a.. to type).

As I'd like to make (simple) statistics on the answers, any amount of open answers would have to be coded into categories (one or more for each answer depending on the contents) which would only make real sense if the actual text pieces was listed in an appendix.

Another thing is, that the poll system does not allow logical filters (
if a certain answer is given
then present questionnumber xx) or crossing in tables (count those those who answered value x in question a
and y in question b). Crosstabulation is interesting as it would allow results type 'those who put a great effort into selecting a boat are more/less happy with it's safety' or 'those who are happy with the boats design have a spouse who agrees more'.

Given the limits in the poll system, we can however have a little more insight (merely for fun

).

Thnx to all for the time spent answering.
