Just got my little 3 nhp johnson running. The model number is j3BRCEC (makes it an '89, right?)
How hard can i run it? Obviously i don't have a tach. Sure is loud at upper throttle settings. Can I run it WOT safely? It doesn't do anything bad, I just don't know what it can take.
Granted, I will use it as a troller running close to idle most of the time, but it would be nice to know what it's limits are. Especially if the big motor conks out far from shore and I need the little guy to get back.
