How hard is it to change the bellows on a 280?

I have a 280 pt that I just noticed had a crack in the bellow for the drive shaft. I have searched, but all i have found is people saying the whole outdrive doesn't have to come off, and that there is a thread or write up somewhere.
I need to figure out if this is something I can do or do I need to take it to a shop
