How hard to rebuild 2000 50HP Johnson carb?

I have a 2000 Johnson 50HP motor. It runs great when moving, but it idles half so... Sounds as if it is flooding out after 2-3 minutes of idling. My research says it is likely the carb. I am a very hands on person. I actually got the motor running after it sat for 7-8 years. I am not a mechanic though. How hard will it be to rebuild the 2 carbs on the outboard?

Any manuals? I ordered 2 rebuild kits. Where can I find the engine manual?
