how hard to rebuild carbs

I have a 75 mercury 65hp . I think it is time to rebuild the carbs. How hard is it . I have never done it before

Not a difficult job if you have a manual to show you the proper way.

Casper, you will want to install new gaskets and a new fuel inlet (needle valve) and it's seat. Also check the condition of the carb float. The foam -type disolve and the hard plastic ones crack. Replace them if necessary.

The trickiest part is to adjust the idle mixture. It takes a bit of trial and eror.
