how hot is it ok for the heads?

force 50 hp engine, i have a surface temp gun, and i shot the head for temp and it reads 180-190 is this too hot?

a little too hot for me, time for a new thermostat and impeller in my opinion.

thanks. i thought so. newbie for the force outboard. i have a few other ob, evinrude, honda, and merc. so this is a learning curve!

turns out that the thermostat was stuck closed. cleaned it and reinstalled it, and the engine ran well, and peed out the exhaust.
