Yesterday I went to the lake to run my boat. Seemed to be running okay. When I felt the block it was kinda warm. I could hold my finger there for about 30 secs. After that i touched the cylinder head and was not that warm. I have a 1964 johnson 75 hp. My question would be. Is the engine block going to get hotter than the cylinder head? If my temp light was working right it would trigger off of the cylinder head? meaning the engine block would be hotter than when I was touching it. Thanks.
