How long should my prop paint last?

I swapped my 21 inch, non stainless prop at my mechanic's shop for a 19 inch that had fresh paint.

Here is a photo of it after just 3 x on the lake... is my expectation too high that the paint should stay on?

The first time out it was loosing half the paint, now its almost all gone. NO, I haven't had it in weeds, brush or anything muddy or rocky that would knock off the paint.

Thoughts?

That sound about right, especially if it was a used/rebuilt prop. Was it ? Paint on a used prop is just cosmetic, I M H O.. The jiffy-buff, kiddy punk paint job fell of my rebuilt alumimum prop as soon as I looked at it. If its a new prop, it may have a better quality factory paint job that may hold up a bit longer
