Trying to figure out if I REALLY need to go ALL SS on my brakes. Or will E-Coat last me just as long.

How long have Kodiak discs lasted you and what type were they?

Thanks

you are in salt water, nothing is going to last without washdowns.

I wash my boat, flush my engine, and wash my trailer after EVERY trip, even if I get back at 11pm. My neighbors don't like me. :(

I weighed cost verse "projected" longivity and went with the Silver cadium Kodiaks.

I would however recommend stainless brakes lines. The only way to go.

Another thing to think about is the fact that you will probably be dipping the rear brakes of your tow vehicle in the water as well and you don't have S.S. on there.

I went with the 12" e-coated Kodiaks on my trailer in '06 and love them so far.

My boat floats when my rear tires touch the edge of the water. I forgot to mention, I rinse the rear under half of my truck while washing the boat/trailer too.

So far...the E-coat Kodiaks have lasted at least 2 years.
