how loud is a 4-stroke? and water pee

The best way would be to listen to other boats, but, I do not have that opportunity to listen to another 40HP new 4-stroke.

The motor seems to vibrate a bit at half throttle and I cannot talk to my buddy without yelling. I am at the motor he is about 10 ft away.

->What should I be expecting out of a motor noise/vibration level?

->I have to check its temp: Is the pee stream supposed to become not as strong when the boat is underway?

OK....but but what is normal. Will the water pee slow down while the boat is underway?
