How many boats can I kill?

It seems that so far this season, every time I touch a boat engine, it stops running. So far, I'm on number 6, just broke my little Johnson kicker today. I was driving my 22 footer and all of the sudden the engine just cut off. I tried to restart it but couldn't. So I drop the anchor and let my uncle try. The second he touches the key it goes. I have no idea what happened. I'm so unlucky I even broke my electric trolling motor at a local lake! And it wasn't even that old!

Don't take this the wrong way but I don't believe I want to take you fishing with me. If you go, I'll do all the driving.

I truly feel your pain AJ. Here's a list of things that have gone bad for me (in some way or another) since spring:<br /><br />On the boat:<br />1. Bearing carrier in motor cracked.<br />2. Oil Warning sensor module failed.<br />3. Fish Finder shorted out.<br />4. 3-bank battery charger failed.<br />On the Tow vehicle:<br />5. Wiring harness for trailer lights failed.<br />6. Exhaust manifold cracked (whooh that was an expensive replacement!).<br />7. Power steering return line failing (hmm, at least that's what the mechanic said when he replaced the exhaust manifold).<br />8. Water pump failed.<br />9. Side marker and headlight was smashed (by a wrench that flew out of a trunk on the highway).<br /><br />Enough already!!! I'm just waiting for #10 to come along... :)

Oh but after buying a used boat my dad and I found out that the motor was pretty much shot. I now have to repower. So much for buying a car, I have a boat!<br />If the new motor fails, all my motorboats are being sold and I'll just have my canoes and kayaks.

Well luckly i can normally keep my outboards running but i am death on lawn mowers as i killed the three i had and 2 i got from the wifes family over the weekend lol. <br /><br />4 riders and a push mower.<br /><br />But i can feel you pain on paying for repairs as i had to get a second job to maintain my outboards lol
