How many drain plugs on my engine?

Happy New Years to everyone. I have a Mercruiser 140 I/O, and I was wondering if anyone knows how many drain plugs are on that engine? I went to drain the water last night, in preparation for the cold week ahead, and was only able to find one plug. Is this all there is?

Ayuh,... Depending on the Vintage,...
There's 1 Block drain,...
And,...
There's 1 Manifold drain,...
And,...
There's Possibly a drain on the exhaust riser....

If it is like the older 120's you should have one under the manifold at the rear you have to get down low to see it.

you can also get the service manual from the diy sticky at the top of the i/o forum. in the service manual it'll have some pics that'll show you right where to look..

Also mine had a solenoid right by the plug wires kind of hid it. If yours does also make sure you disconnect battery first.

Mine has one on the bottom side of the manifold and 2 on the same side of the block.

The 3.0L only has one drain on block, not two. 'nutcase

Well every year I must imagine pulling 2 of them out when I winterize!!!!!!!!!!!!!
