Hey all - if you have ever restored your floor - how many layers of 1708 did you use for the top?

I have one layer down now - and it seems VERY solid.

Its pretty simple to do... I may need more supplies - but if I don't need to then I will call it good.

Don't have any pics yet, but looks awesome.

Awesome - good to know I don't have to drive over 100 miles to pick up additional 1708... I pretty much ran out of the stuff.

I will just put a topside coat of paint on it and call it good before I put in the carpet.

1 is definitely enough, but how did you attach the new floor to the hull and stringers? you should tab the floor to the hull with 2 layers of 1708.

My boat floor is configured in such a way that the middle part of the floor is removable because the fuel tank is underneath. Its a crappy design... but thats what I had to work with.

... so basically I had to wrap both the floor and the stringers with one layer of 1708 ... across the top of the floor and down over the stringer at a 90 degree angle.

I assume you ran the 1708 6-8 inches up the sides of the hull too?? This is needed for structural support from the hull sides to the deck
