I changed the water pump on my 2002 mercury 125 elpto yesterday. First attempt I installed the impeller backwards, but everything ran fine and when I went to change the direction all but two corrected themselves. However there was quite a bit of water inside the lower unit and midsection cavity. Now with the impeller in the right direction I have water coming out of the pee hole at pretty good pressure and some coming out the exhaust, but there is also water coming out of three other areas on the midsection. One spot, there is a small hole above the gear lube vent, quite a bit is coming out the back side and around a square cover. Is this normal or do I need to tear thing thing apart again.
