I'm thinking of having a one piece bow/cockpit cover made for a 18 foot bowrider. The place told me they would only use one support pole in the cockpit. While the slope is more than enough in the front bow for water to run off, should I suggest they use a support pole in the bow also since the boat will sit outside? I'm thinking the weight of snow might be a concern if no support is there?

i don't have to contend with snow. i had a windshield broken due to water weight that didn't run off.

A Mooring Cover is Not designed to carry Snow Loads,.......They're just to shed Rain.........

Around here,.... Most folks build a temporary Snow Tent out of 2X4s,+ Blue Tarps in the Winter.......
