How Much Alternator Output?

I've noticed a big difference in alternator output of the mid to high range 4 stroke motors.
Yamaha 150 is 35amps, Suzuki DF 140 at 45 amps, and I believe Honda BF 150 is at 60 amps.

The power on my new boat is to be a Yamaha 150 4stroke. The power options being used in order of priority will be running a depth/fish finder, bilge pump, recirculating live well and bait well, Night marker lights, and possibly a CD AM-FM stereo.
I am beginning to wonder if I will find myself making a compromise when demanding 12V power from the alternator to service the optional equipment as mentioned.

Also, at what RPM range could I expect to recognize a loss of alternator performance?

Helpful advice appreciated.
Kevin

Re: How Much Alternator Output?

Hello
you can turn all of it on at once and with just that list you should not exceed 20 amps. if you need to get a figure then look at all the labels, someplace on the label it will tell you the current draw in amps. add it all up and you will have a total. Good luck and keep posting
