Wasnt real sure where to put this, an I tried searching..
So I have a 82 lb thrust motorguide tour, that was gave me to awhile back, an its starting to act up.. Shows 24 volts to all the wires an everything. I can put it in the water and it just will hardly move the prop much less the boat at all. Yesterday I went to the lake and it was bairly doing anything at all. Batterys charged an everything. I can also with the switch on "High Bypass" I can hold the prop an press the button and hold the prop still. I hooked my brothers 12 volt 36lb up last night to the batterys and couldnt hold the prop on the high setting.. So I havent decided what im going to do with it yet, as I cant/havent found the problem nor how to fix it on the 82lb tour..
Have anyone of yall ever had this problem or know what might cause it an how to fix it?
So if its not fixable, or cost to much.. Would it be better off to just purchase a new trolling motor all together?
If I did since i never had it on high speed ever anyways would I be able to tell a difference between a 75lb thrust an the 82lb, on a 18 foot ranger with a 150 hp engine on it?
