how much foam do i need

i have a 20ft robalo center console. i have to replace the foam and was gonna use the pourable type. i'm wondering how much i need. if anyone out there has replaced the foam on a similar size or type of bout i'd like to know how much foam you used. i was thinking about ordering 2 gallons

In order to determine the amount of foam you need, you will need to know the volume of the area you are planning to fill, and the density of the material you are planning to use.
The pourable type foams state that they are 2 pound density they are saying that a 1 cubic foot will weight 2 pounds. (everything being perfect.)
If the area you are going to fill is 12"X12"X12" then you would use 2 pounds of a 2 pound density material. if the area is 12" X 4" x 36" = 1728 Sq inches/ 1728 = 1 cubic feet. So you would need 2 pounds of 2 pound density foam.
